KATHMANDU, July 26: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court demanding stay order on implementation of the ordinance on providing lifetime state facilities to former VIPs.

"The state cannot provide special facilities to VIPs as they also become ordinary citizens after retirement," argues the petitioner.

President Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, Office of the prime minister and ministry of law have been made defendant.
