The deceased have been identified as Akhil Giri, 45, his wife Bhawana Giri, 40, of Brahmapuri VDC and Laxmi Paswan of Punarbas VDC of the Sarlahi district.
According to Regional Traffic Police Office, Pathlaiya, the injured are undergoing treatment at Nijgadh and Simara-based hospitals. Among the injured, two of them are in serious condition.

The bus, Na 4 Kha 4516, was heading Malangawa of Sarlahi district from Kathmandu when the accident took place at around 6.00 this morning.
The passengers have blamed that the incident took place due to excessive speed after the driver fell asleep.
The bodies of the three deceased have been kept at Narayani Zonal Hospital at Birgunj for post mortem.
