BARA, Dec 13: A local resident sustained severe injuries in a clash between protesting employees and the police in Bara's Simraungadh Municipality. Bara Superintendent of Police, Suresh Kafle, reported that the injured individual was transported to Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for treatment. Additionally, 10 policemen were injured during the confrontation.

The employees, engaged in a prolonged protest seeking improved salary facilities, gathered at the municipal office on Wednesday. Expressing dissatisfaction with Mayor Kishori Prasad Kalwar's alleged lack of attention to their demands, they, along with the new Chief Administrative Officer Mahesh Mishra, approached the municipality to discuss their concerns.
