It has yet to be ascertained if the students belong to the party´s sister organization -- Nepal Students Union (NSU). NC Kaski district chapter president Yagya Thapa said he did not recognize the persons who showed black flags.
Minister Koirala had briefly stopped as the students protested and showed the flags. She had reached Pokhara to attend a function organized by Nepal Sanskritik Sangh, a sister organization of the party, as the party president and her father Girija Prasad Koirala could not attend the function due to his poor health.
