KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Shivaraj Majhi shot even-par 72 to climb atop the leaderboard after the second round of the Faldo Series Nepal Championship at the par-72 Gokarna Golf Club on Tuesday.
Shivaraj, who carded three-over 75 on the first day, carded total of three-over 147 in 17-21 years age category in the boys' section. Shivaraj is three strokes ahead of overnight leader Arun Tamang who came up with poor performance of eight-over 80. Arun is currently second at six-over 150.

Sukrai Bahadur Rai carded one-over 73 to stand on third place with total score of nine-over 153. Prithivi Malla is fourth at 10-over 154 while Sandesh Khanal and Yabraj Bhujel are tied at fifth with 12-over 156 on the second day of the tournament.
In the boys' 12-16 years age category, Tenzing Tsering stood on top with 10-over 154. Tenzing, scored four-over 76 to earn a seven-stroke lead over Aryaan Kumar who played round of 11-over 83. Pratima Sherpa leads the girls' section with 179 while Karishma Shah is second with 204.
In total, 12 players from boys' 17-21 age group, five players from 12-16 age group and three girls have survived the cut after 36 holes. The 54-holes stroke play event will conclude on Wednesday and the winners from each category will vie in the Faldo Series Asia Grand Finale to be held at Mission Hills Golf Club, China in March 2016.
