Sadhu shot dead near Indo-Nepal border in Siraha

LAHAN, April 3: An unidentified group has shot dead a Sadhu near Indo-Nepal border here in Siraha district  on Thursday night.




According to SP Ram Kripal Sah at Siraha district Police office,  Ram Shankar Mandal, 55, of Lagadigoth-3 of the district was shot dead while he  along with a  team  of  four psalms was heading to Badhaura,  India.

Mandal, who received bullets at his back, died during the treatment at Siraha District Hospital.



Mandal was initially taken to Jayanagar-based hospital after the incident but he was later transferred to Siraha hospital.



Police said that they are yet to reach into conclusion on who carried out the crime.


According to SP Sah, a team of police led by Inspector has been sent to the incident site.
