LAHAN, April 11: A gold shop owner was shot dead in Siraha last night. Pradip Kumar Biswakarma, 40, a resident of Lahan Municipality-22, was shot dead by looters who had come to loot his shop.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Tapan Kumar Dahal, the Biswakarma couple were attacked as they were trying to stop the looters, who had barged into the shop.
Sweet shop owner charged with rape
Pradip's wife Amrita Biswakarma was injured in the incident as she was stabbed with a sharp weapon. She is undergoing treatment at Saptarishi Hospital in Lahan.
A police team that reached the site immediately after being informed, arrested two people as they were about to flee. Ram Krishna Chaudhary and Suresh Kumar Sahani, residents of ward no. 7 of the same municipality were arrested. Further investigation is underway.
