KATHMANDU, March 8: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is maintaining a strong lead in the ongoing vote counting under the proportional representation (PR) system for the House of Representatives election, according to the latest results released by election authorities.
A total of 2,910,677 votes have been counted nationwide so far. The RSP is leading with 1,461,381 votes, accounting for 50.21 percent of the total votes counted.

The Nepali Congress is in second position with 494,251 votes, which equals 16.98 percent of the total count, while the CPN-UML is in third position with 403,899 votes, or 13.88 percent.
Other parties have also secured portions of the PR vote share. The Nepali Communist Party has received 193,550 votes (6.65 percent), followed by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party with 106,396 votes (3.65 percent). The Shram Sanskriti Party secured 59,241 votes (2.04 percent), while the Rastriya Pariwartan Party received 36,863 votes (1.27 percent) as the counting process continues.
