Public schools in Kathmandu turning tech-savvy

As part of the initiative to make schools technology-friendly, KMC has enrolled 36,280 individuals, including students, teachers, ECD facilitators, and other staff across 83 public schools into the integrated digital attendance system.

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has enrolled 36,280 students, teachers, and staff in an integrated digital attendance system. 



As part of the initiative to make schools technology-friendly, KMC has enrolled 36,280 individuals, including students, teachers, ECD facilitators, and other staff across 83 public schools into the integrated digital attendance system, informed Namraj Dhakal, head of the KMC Education Department.

The Department of Education and IT Department took joint initiative for bringing the public schools operating in KMC to e-attendance. 


Once the capacity for data entry, updating, and reporting was developed, the school's own workforce inputted the data into the system.
