NPC duo Nima Gurung and Ranjan Shrestha were adjudged the best players in the women"s and men"s categories respectively. Both bagged a purse of Rs 5,000.
On Saturday, the second and final day of the two-day tournament, Chandra Rana Magar clinched gold for APF in the men"s U-54 kg category. He defeated Bishal Shrestha of NPC in the final.
In men"s U-58 kg, Ranjan Shrestha of NPC defeated Jordan Bikran Shrestha of Western Region to strike gold.
Likewise, Rohit Tamang of Koteshwar "A" saw off Bibas Shrestha of his club"s "B" team in the men"s U-63 kg final.
Mohammad Besh claimed another gold for the host, defeating Pawan Agasti of Eastern Region in the final of men"s U-68 kg.
Anoj Pujari of NPC defeated Saksham Karki of Koteshwar "A" in the final of men"s U-74 kg to win gold.
In the women"s section, Regina Karki of NPC clinched gold in the U-46 kg category defeating Kajol Shrestha of Koteshwar "A" in the final. Sita Tamang secured another gold for NPC, defeating Som Maya Tamang of Central Region in the women"s U-49 kg final.
Likewise, NPC"s Nima Gurung ousted Tara GC of Western Region in the final of women"s U-53 kg to secure gold and assert her club"s dominance.
However, Sangita Basyal of APF denied departmental rival NPC a clean sweep of golds in the women"s section. Basyal won gold in the women"s U-57 kg as she saw off Sushma Shrestha of Koteshwar "A" in the final.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu district won the team championship title in the junior section with three golds and one silver. Eastern Region finished second with one gold, two silvers and two bronzes, with the host in third position with one gold, one silver and four bronzes.
Altogether 153 players from 12 teams participated in the event, according to Koteshwar Taekwondo Dojang chief Nabin Kumar Shrestha.
