Police arrest five drug dealers

KATHMANDU, June 3: Police on May 26 arrested five drug dealers from various places of Kathmandu.

Nanumaya Phuyal of Kageshwori Manahari municipality, Kathmandu was arrested along with drugs from Jadibuti. The police confiscated 232 ampoules of Diazepam, 100 ampoules of Buprenorphine, 67 ampoules of Phenergan drugs. Phuyal was earlier also arrested on drug dealing twice.

Similarly, Randhir Thakur (25) of Mahottari and Chandre Mijar aka Chandra Bahadur Mijar (58) of Makawanpur was arrested raid handed while selling drugs at Balkhu. Police also seized 130 ampoules of Buprenorphine, 130 ampoules of Phenergan from Thakur and 33 ampoules of Diazepam and various others drugs.

In yet another incident, acting on a tip-off police arrested Lilawati Ram Chamar (28) and Ram Babu Shah (30) of Bara district along with drugs from Kalanki. They had hidden drugs in a flour sack.

The drugs seized from these drug dealers worth around 1.6 million.
