The deceased has been identified as Bal Kumari Dahal, 21, of Bingutar VDC of Okhaldhunga district.A mini-truck, Ba 1 Kha 9112, had knocked her down at a bridge near Gopikirishna Cinema at around 9.15 this morning. Dahal, who seriously injured in the incident, was declared dead as soon as she was brought to the Chabahil-based Om Hospital.
Dahal was a student of Chabahil-based Pashupati Campus and residing at Kapan, Saraswatinagar.
Police have taken the killer Mini-truck and its driver under its control.
Meanwhile, students at the Pashupati Campus have organized demonstrations in the Chabahil area over the death of their fellow student.
