CHITWAN, July 22: A Bolero jeep hit and killed a pedestrian in Chitwan. The victim is identified as 31-year-old Ram Avatar from Birgunj Metropolitan City–11, Parsa.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Khanal at the District Police Office, Chitwan, the Bolero jeep (Na 3 Cha 6610), traveling from east to west, struck Ram Avatar at Shahichowk in Khairahani Municipality–1 on Sunday night.

Following the incident, he was left critically injured. Medical staff at Old Medical College declared him dead during treatment later that night.
Police have impounded the vehicle and taken its driver into custody.
