KATHMANDU, Sept 19: A pedestrian was killed in an accident occurred late night yesterday in front of the Shantinagar Gate in the capital.

The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Bishal Timilsina of Makwanpur. A Tata Mobile ( Ba 7 cha 6207), a pickup vehicle, hit the man, leaving him severely injured. He later died in course of the treatment at the National Trauma Center, the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division said. The driver is under the police control along with the vehicle for further investigations into the case.
