KATHMANDU, April 7: Nepal Life Insurance Company Ltd (NLIC) has proposed distributing 60 percent bonus shares and 8 percent cash dividend to its shareholders. Issuing a statement on Monday, NLIC said the 194th meeting of its board of directors on Sunday decided to present the proposal to its shareholders in its upcoming annual general meeting (AGM).

If the shareholders vote in favor of the proposal, it will then be subject to approval from the Beema Samiti, according to the statement.
“Following the issuance of bonus shares, the company’s paid-up capital will reach Rs 1.73 billion from Rs 1.08 billion,” the statement adds.
