KATHMANDU, Jan 10: Nepali national football team earned a point from its first match of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup playing a goalless draw in Group A against Malaysia's premier division side Felda United at the Shama-Ul-Huda Stadium in Jessore on Saturday.

Nepali team, which is also preparing for the 12th South Asian Games, created some chances in a highly-contested encounter but failed to convert. Now, Nepal will face Sri Lanka on Tuesday and host Bangladesh on Thursday in the remaining two matches of the group in Dhaka.

Meanwhile, host Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka 4-0 in its opener on the same day.
