“We are preparing to hold a Central Working Committee meeting in the third week of March to review the elections,” Chalise said. “We have requested reports from districts to discuss what happened during the elections, and the submissions have already begun.”
In the 2079 elections, NC emerged as the largest party, but this time it has fallen to second place. The party now faces the prospect of becoming the weakest opposition in parliamentary history, prompting the need for detailed discussions at the central committee.
According to the election results, NC won 18 FPTP seats and 20 proportional representation seats, totaling 38 seats in the parliament.
