MORANG: Life in the Morang district remained crippled on Friday due to a general shutdown called by the Maoist Young Communist League (YCL).
The strike was called to protest against Wednesday´s alleged attack by CPN-UML´s Youth Force (YF) workers on YCL members. Markets and public transport remained closed. The Maoists burnt down UML´s VDC office in Pathari in protest.

Pathari area remains tense. Also, Jate area in the district was tense throughout Thursday due to clashes between the two rival youth groups.
