Limbhuwan withdraws strike

BHADRAPUR, Oct 12: The Federal Limbuwan State Council (FLSC) has withdrawn its three-day- banda in nine districts east of the Arun river.



The banda was scheduled from Wednesday putting forth various demands including withdrawal of the increased price of petroleum products and to bring preliminary draft of the constitution within November 30.[break]



The Council withdrew the pre-planned banda after the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction sent a letter to the Council through the District Administration Office, Jhapa, calling for dialogue.



Chairman of the Council, Sanjuhang Palungwa informed at a press conference organised on Tuesday at Birtamod that they withdrew the banda taking the government´s request as positive.
