ICC approves Nepal to host U-19 World Cup Qualifiers

KATHMANDU, April 17: International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday approved Nepal as the host of the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.

ICC Board meeting, which concluded on Thursday in Dubai, confirmed that Nepal will host the qualifiers.ICC's press release issued on Thursday states, "Nepal has been approved as host of the ICC U-19 CWC Qualifier 2015. However, this approval is conditional on the ICC being satisfied with the Cricket Association of Nepal's (CAN) administrative capacity to deliver the event successfully."

The schedule for the event has not been announced yet.

Nepal qualified for the qualifiers as it finished second in the ACC U-19 Premier cricket tournament held in Kuwait from November 9-16. Afghanistan qualified for the final rounds of the World Cup to be held in Bangladesh next year.
