In the ICC U19 World Cup, which commenced yesterday, hosts South Africa and Ireland witnessed victory. In Group B, South Africa triumphed over West Indies by 31 runs, while in Group A, Ireland secured a 7-wicket win against America.
Road to ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 starts in September
The 16 participating teams are divided into four groups, with Nepal placed in Group D alongside New Zealand, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Nepal's first match is against New Zealand scheduled for Sunday.
The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super 6 stage. During this phase, Group A teams will face Group D, and Group B and Group C teams will compete against each other. The top-performing teams from the Super 6 will proceed to the semi-finals, while the lower-ranked teams will contend for placement positions.
