KATHMANDU, March 22: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has sacked Nepali Ambassador to Britain, Murari Raj Sharma, with effect since last Friday, said Sharma in a press release, Saturday. He has also been asked to leave the embassy from March 31.

The government sacked Sharma allegedly for preparing to send a letter saying that government of Nepal was a diplomatically and politically failure to British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, David Wright Miliband.

MoFA has prevented him from doing any diplomatic, financial, administrative and daily works at the embassy, among other things.

The ministry said it took the decision after the ministry found a draft of the letter Sharma was planning to send it to Miliband, reported the daily.
