Elderly robbed of Rs 400,000 in Nuwakot

TRISHULI (Nuwakot), March 31: An unidentified man has looted Rs 400,000 from an elderly from Bus Park at Battar in Nuwakot district on Tuesday afternoon.

The man looted the cash from Harka Bahadur Tamang, 63, of Dandagaun-7 in Rasuwa. Victim Tamang said a total of Rs 400,000 including Rs 300,000 which he had withdrawn from the Battar-based Nepal Bangladesh Bank and Rs 100,000 which was already with him, was looted.


Police Inspector Birendra Thapa said the unidentified man looted the cash after taking Tamang some 1.5 kilometers away.

Tamang said that he had withdrawn Rs 300,000 from the bank provided by the Trishuli 3 'B' in compensation to his land taken by the hydropower project. RSS
