CIAA to investigate nine govt officials for accepting bribe

RAJBIRAJ, May 15: The District Administration Office, Saptari, has forwarded all documents to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) demanding action against nine officials of Land Revenue Office and Rajbiraj Municipality for their involvement in passing land to others by accepting bribes.



The nine officials were found of passing land to others´ name even by challenging the order of the District Court, Saptari. [break]



According to the Chief District Officer Krishna Chandra Ghimire, the then acing chief of Land Revenue Office Siryuglal Das, Nayab Subba Janardan Dev, Kharidar Ram Narayan Sharma and Purushottam Dhakal, office assistant Lila Yadav, and the then Acting Executive Officer of Rajbiraj Municipality Harinarayan Ram Rauniyar, overseer Kebal Das, Nayab Subba Dev Ram Yadav and Kharidar Mohammad Alam were involved in passing the land in others´ name by accepting financial advantages.



Earlier, the Court had issued a verdict not to sell the land of Gajendra Chowk in Rajbirar-4 possessed by Bindenshowri Prasad Das of Rajbiraj-4.



But, the then chief of the office Das had transferred the land in others´ name after a month and half of the court´s verdict.
