KATHMANDU, Sept 15: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Saturday arrested nine police officials with Rs 100,000 in bribe.

A special squad of anti-graft body rounded up nine police officials of Metropolitan Police Sector, Koteswar, and Sanothimi including Assistant Sub Inspector Gopal Shrestha of Metropolitan Police Sector, Kandaghari today.
The arrested include two Assistant Sub Inspectors, three head constables and four constables. They were held while receiving bribe from sand smugglers, said CIAA spokesperson Rameshwar Dangal.
