DSP Paudel was arrested upon a complaint by the scrap dealer. Paudel had demanded Rs 35,000 from a vehicle carrying scrap to exit the Valley, the dealer informed the CIAA. According to the deal, DSP Paudel had come to Kalanki at around 5:30 pm to receive the money. CIAA officers had caught him red-handed on the spot while taking the money.
