KATHMANDU, May 22: A case has been filed at the Supreme Court against Judge of Janakpur High Court Lekh Nath Dhakal. Umesh Baniya of Kavre registered case against Judge Dhakal. He has been charged with taking Rs 1.8 million as a bribe from the customer.
Earlier, Baniya tried to file a petition against Dhakal claiming that he had forced him to pay a bribe of Rs 1.80 million. Acting registrar Narayan Panthi at the apex court, however, had refused to register the petition on May 16 and argued that the petition was not registered as the Judicial Council has already investigated the complaint against Dhakal and kept it on hold in February.
