CA polls to be conducted in free, fair and peaceful manner : Commissioner Thakur

CHITWAN, Oct. 26: Election Commissioner Ram Bhakta PB Thakur has said that the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) would be held in a free, fair and peaceful manner.



Addressing a regional training of trainers programme here Saturday, Thakur said that nation has taken the CA election as a mega function while the people have taken it as a celebration.[break]



He also informed that a total of 15 million ballot papers were printed and the task of distribution would be started from October 28 in all 75 districts.



Thakur also said that printing of voters´ identity cards is underway and the voters´ identity cards would be handed over to the voters before November 15.



The Election Commissioner said that discussions to scrap the candidacies of some candidates were on for violating the election code of conducts.
