KATHMANDU, March 5: Nepali Communist Party candidate Barshaman Pun has maintained his lead in the vote count in Rolpa since counting began on Friday.
With 27,361 votes counted, Pun has secured 9,835 votes. Sundan Kumar Oli of the Nepali Congress is trailing in second position with 6,387 votes. Balaram Thapa of the Rastriya Swatantra Party is in third place with 4,245 votes.

Similarly, Gokul Gharti of the CPN-UML has received 3,899 votes. Chudamani Oli, who contested under the election symbol of the CPN (Maoist) rose, has received 2,391 votes.
In the election held on Thursday, Rolpa recorded a voter turnout of 46.39 percent, with a total of 69,408 votes cast.
Vote counting is currently taking place at the office of the Cottage and Small Industry Office hall in the district headquarters.
