KATHMANDU, March 6: Out of 15 Himalayan districts, ballots from three districts—Sankhuwasabha, Dolpa, and Gorkha—are yet to be transported due to adverse weather conditions.
According to the Election Commission’s deputy spokesperson, Kul Bahadur GC, ballots from polling centers in these high-altitude districts need to be airlifted by helicopter, but the weather has prevented transportation since Thursday evening. Preparations are underway to deliver the ballots to the respective election offices as soon as the weather permits. Once transported, vote counting in all three districts will begin.

The Election Commission has also instructed that vote counting in certain areas—including Syangja, Dolakha, and Dhankuta (Constituency No. 1)—be conducted according to legal provisions. In Dhankuta, votes cast using bells will be separated and counted at the main election office.
