The monitors, who reached Karahiya while monitoring village and town as a part of a campaign initiated by Indegeneous Nationalities District Coordination Committee under the Rupandehi District Development Committee, made VDC secretaries alert after finding miuse of public budget.[break]
The monitoring team cautioned Karahiya VDC secretary Chudamani Pandey as it was found that the budget allocated for indigenous nationalities in the VDC has been expended for the construction of building and canal and visit programmes, said Committee Vice-chairperson Dhan Bahadur Gurung.
On the occasion, secretary Pandey had pledged not to spend budget allocated for target group to other areas from now onwards and make budget spending as per the consent among the stakeholders.
