KATHMANDU, June 13: In order to clean the Bagmati River and its tributaries in the Kathmandu valley, 198 ponds are going to be built on the hills.

Tube wells, taps, boring wells and ponds, which in the past have been reliable drinking water sources are drying up fast, they say.
