KATHMANDU, Sept 8: The government is gearing up to introduce new guidelines that will restrict individuals to collecting Yarsagumba only once a year.

KHALANGA, May 16: Three persons, who were injured in an incident of lightning while collecting the valuable alpine herb, Yarsagumba, in Darchula, have been rescued after four days on Tuesday.

JAJARKOT, April 30: Collection of the Yarsagumba or the caterpillar fungus in the Dolpa district will be opened to the public for a month beginning May 15.

DOLPA, June 6: Eight people who had gone to various highlands of Dolpa to collect Yarsa have died due to extreme cold.

MUGU, June 4: The local authorities of Mugu have collected Rs 10 million in revenue from entry fee charged to yarsagumba collectors in the district. People from the district as well as outside have reached the highlands of Mugumkarmarong Rural Municipality of Mugu to collect the prized fungus which is found in abundance in the district.
