KATHMANDU, March 7: Newly-appointed Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Sumana Shrestha, has decided to take initiatives for amendments to the laws in order to appoint experts as the chancellors and vice-chancellors of all 11 universities in the country.

The proliferation of universities without a concerted effort to enhance their quality is a worrying trend.
