BIRGUNJ, Sept 4: Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSP) has recommended the Chief Minister of Madhesh Province Dr Lalbabu Raut as a candidate for the Provincial Assembly member from Parsa Constituency Number 1 (b). In the previous election too, he was elected as a member of the Provincial Assembly from the same constituency.
JANAKPURDHAM, August 25: Madhesh Province government has increased the salary and benefits of chief minister, ministers and province assembly members. New salary-scale was published in the province gazette on August 21 as per the cabinet decision held on August 8.

JANAKPURDHAM/ BARA, August 12: Last Wednesday at 8:30PM, a car with Indian registration number BR 01 BN 47 loaded with sacks of clothes that had been smuggled through the Madar customs checkpoint area hit a cyclist on the Siraha-Choharwa road section. The driver left the car on the road and ran away after Dinesh Sada and Yasin Dhami of Siraha Municipality-22 who were riding the bicycle were injured. After reaching the accident site and investigating, a police team from the Bishnupur Police Station recovered three sacks of clothes inside the car. The car with the recovered clothes was handed over to the District Customs Office Madar on Thursday through the District Police Office, Siraha.
RAUTAHAT, JULY 21: In Madhesh Province, there was an increase in the number of actions taken against vehicles violating traffic rules in the last fiscal year. There has also been an increase in revenue collection due to the actions taken against vehicles.
JANAKPURDHAM, July 18: Agriculture is considered the main basis of prosperity of Madhesh Province. The provincial government has been emphasizing a commercial agriculture system to increase agriculture, irrigation and agricultural production to make the province prosperous. But during the paddy planting season, the government has become a mute spectator when the farmers of Madhesh are without fertilizers and any means to irrigate their fields.
JANAKPURDHAM, July 12: Madhesh Province’s Finance Minister Sailendra Prasad Shah has reached Kathmandu to meet the Prime Minister with a demand to extend the payment period till the last day of this week. Shah is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and request him to arrange the payment by July 16.
KATHMANDU, July 4: Dipendra Jha, the legal advisor to the provincial government, i.e. the chief attorney of Madhesh Province, has become a private lawyer and argued on behalf of the defendant in a case. On Sunday, going against the constitution and the law, Jha argued in the Supreme Court as a private lawyer against the appointment of Inspector General of Police. However, he is the Madhesh Province’s chief legal advisor.
JANAKPUR, June 30- The Madhesh Province government has decided to provide a monthly allowance of Rs 21,000 each to the families of martyrs, who died during the Madheshi struggles spearheaded by the Madhes-based parties and the decade-old Maoist insurgency.

DHANUSHA, April 5: An anti-typhoid vaccination campaign is being launched in Madhesh Province from April 8. The government is implementing the campaign from April 8 to May 1 in order to minimize human loss caused by typhoid, according to the Province Health Directorate.
KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Vaccination against COVID-19 is being carried out in four districts of Madhesh Province. A door-to-door vaccination program has been inaugurated in Rautahat, Sarlahi, Mahottari and Dhanusha of Madhesh Province under the government's vaccination campaign against COVID-19.
