KATHMANDU, May 30: The mortality rate of COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment at the hospitals in Banke has decreased dramatically. Earlier, the hospitals recorded about 15-17 deaths on a daily basis which dropped to zero in the past 24 hours.
The body of an American national who died two years ago in the Everest region has been found on Saturday. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Christopher John Kulis, who died during his descent from the summit of Mt Everest on May 27, 2019.
NEPALGUNJ, May 19: As many as 17 people died within 13 hours from COVID-19 in Banke district. Among the list of the deceased, nine were undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital while eight were admitted to Nepalgunj Medical College and Teaching Hospital.
RAJBIRAJ, May 18: Deputy Mayor of Saptakoshi Municipality Asha Chaudhary succumbed to coronavirus infection this morning. Deputy Mayor Chaudhary died while undergoing treatment at Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar, according to Uttam Acharya, a resident of Kanchanrup Municipality.

BAITADI, May 5: A teacher has died after getting infected by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Baitadi. According to Yogendra Prasad Batta, chief of the health office of Baitadi, the 44-years old teacher died of the disease at 9:40AM on Wednesday.
HUMLA, May 5: An eight-year-old girl was found dead in a suspicious condition at Simkot Rural Municipality-2 in Humla district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Sanjiba Bohara. She was found dead in an animal shed that belongs to her own family. It is learnt that the deceased was playing with her friends before the incident.
