Meanwhile, Chairman Mahantha Thakur of the Democratic Socialist Party mentioned that the erstwhile government under the leadership of KP Sharma Oli had freed 139 leaders and cadres from prison and that the current government should resolve the issues which are yet to be solved. “I want to thank KP Sharma Oli for releasing the 139 leaders and cadres. We also urge the government to address the remaining issues,” Thakur said.

Stating that no protests should be suppressed, Chairman Thakur stressed the need for resolving the remaining issues of Madhesh. He warned of a scenario similar to a volcanic eruption if the issues are not addressed.
