Woman slips into gorge

KATHMANDU: Maya Bishwkarma, 32, of Pokhara Sub Metropolitan City -7, who fell into a 20-meter deep gully Monday morning, was rescued after about five hours, police said.Army soldier Purna Bahadur Rai and local Binaya Gurung rescued the woman, police said.



The woman, a resident of a slum in Pokhara, had accidentally fallen into the gully. She has received deep injury to the head and is currently receiving treatment at Gandaki Hospital in Pokhara. Her condition is normal, police said.
