BARA, Sept 24: The body of a woman has been found in a sugarcane field in Bara on Sunday morning, a day after she went missing. The District Police Office, Bara, has identified the deceased as Siyapati Dhobin of Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-13. According to police, she was hacked to death with a sharp weapon.
Dhobin had gone missing on Saturday evening after she went out to work in a field near Pasaha River. According to a local Rajesh Mahato, the family and relatives of the deceased had searched rigorously for Dhobin after she didn't return back from the field.
The entire village of Balirampur was shocked after the deceased's family and relatives found her body in a sugarcane field near the river. District Police Office, Bara, has informed that the deceased has three daughters and a son and her spouse has been out of contact for the last four years.
According to the district police chief Superintendent of Police (SP) Mira Chaudhary, they are yet to arrest anyone in connection to the case.
