MAHENDRANAGAR, March 24: Kalasha Sarki, 32, of Punarwas Municipality-10, Bhim Basti, Kanchanpur, died after being attacked by a tiger on Friday.
Chief of Tribhuvan Basti Area Police Office, Police Inspector Naresh Raj Malla said that Sarki died on the spot when she was attacked by a tiger while collecting fodder in the Indian Dudhwa National Park.

"Seven-eight women from here had gone to collect fodder in the forest within about one and a half kilometers from SSB Camp No 8 when Sarki was attacked by a tiger," said Inspector Malla.
According to the police, other women are safe. Inspector Malla said that the body will be handed over to Nepal Police after the Indian police have completed the procedures. "The body is ready to be taken to Belauri Primary Health Center today for a post-mortem," he said.
