BARDIYA, Nov 19: A woman has lost her life after being attacked by a tiger in Bardiya. Mamta Sunar, 25, from Rajapur Municipality-10 Sukumbasi Tole lost her life in a tiger attack on Sunday afternoon.
According to Dronraj Sharma, Information Officer at the Division Forest Office, Mamta, who suffered severe injuries in the tiger attack, succumbed on the way to Bardiya Hospital for medical treatment.
Human-Tiger Coexistence Amidst Rising Tiger Population
A woman was attacked by a tiger while collecting grass in the Nepal-India border forest at around 12:30 PM on Sunday. Information Officer Sharma stated, "Two other locals, who went to collect grass with Sunar, became frightened after encountering the tiger."
Information Officer Sharma said the locals are currently undergoing medical treatment, and their condition is reported to be stable.
