With 451 new cases , Nepal’s COVID-19 tally jumps to 6211

KATHMANDU, June 15: Nepal has reported 451 new cases of COVID-19 disease in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Of the newly diagnosed patients, 416 are males while 35 others are females.

KATHMANDU, June 15: Nepal has reported 451 new cases of COVID-19 disease in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Of the newly diagnosed patients, 416 are males while 35 others are females. 


With this, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has jumped to 6,211, said Dr Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson for the ministry during a regular virtual press briefing on Monday afternoon. 5,740 males and 271 females have got COVID-19 infection so far.

Sixty-seven more patients---60 males and seven females-- have returned home after recovery in the last 24 hours. 


As of Monday afternoon, a total of 1,041 patients have recovered while 19 people have succumbed to this fatal disease, according to Dr Gautam.
