With 381 new cases in the past 24 hours, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally reaches 21,390

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: Nepal has recorded 381 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: Nepal has recorded 381 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the MoHP said that new cases were detected during 6,359 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests conducted in various COVID-19 labs across the nation.

As of Wednesday, 312 people are undergoing treatment in isolation center in Province 1, 2,622 in province 2, 785 in Bagmati Province, 272 in Gandaki Province, 340 in Province 5, 292 in Karnali Province and 1,551 in Sudurpaschim Province.


So far, 15,156 people who tested positive for the COVID-19 have recovered and returned home. 130 persons were recovered in last 24 hours.


The MoHP also confirmed two more COVID-19 related death today.
