KHOTANG, Dec 27: The wildfire which broke out in Dambar Khushivalaya Community Forest of Jantedhunga Rural Municipality on Wednesday has reportedly gone out of control.
It has been learnt that the fire started at around 1 pm. Despite several efforts of the locals to douse the fire, it kept raging and spreading, according to a local leader Yam Rai. The fast-spreading fire has put 10 households of Dambar Khushivalaya-1, Handikhola under risk of displacement.

Flames of burning trees have scared the locals. Heavy wind blowing around the fire has made it challenging for the locals to douse the fire.
The locals had informed the users' group of the community forest soon after the fire broke out but no one reportedly came to douse the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
