Thirty-eight years old Ganesh Bahadur Bhusal Uparkoti was trampled to death by the pachyderm at 11:30 pm on Wednesday while he was irrigating the rice fields, said the Area Police Office, Budhabare.[break]
This is the first instance of wild elephant killing a human being this year. Seven people were killed by wild elephants in Jhapa district last year.
