There was once a heart and a mind
Both were confused, so they both lied
They told me this word was best on its fine
Until I found my truth hidden inside
They told me being a girl was a gift
Also, a women’s heart is strong concrete
I was told it was okay to smile and be free as need
Until I was twelve and I started to bleed
I was kept out of touch in corner, in dark
The only thing that shone was my stretch mark
There was scar I got when I jumped and laughed
But suddenly I got the unholy card!
Is it possible to pray when I bleed?
Is it possible to sing or dance when I bleed?
Is it okay to have cramps or is someone cursing me?
Oh wait, it does not really matter when he wants my body!
