KATHMANDU, Aug 5: Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey received credentials from the newly appointed representative of World Health Organization (WHO) in Nepal Dr Jos Vandelaer on Tuesday. On the occassion, Minister Pandey appreciated WHO's commendable support in the post-earthquake situation.
"WHO's support in Nepal's efforts toward building on the progress achieved under the millennium development goals and making sustainable progress in the health sector will be critical," a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoted Pandey as saying on the occasion.
UNHCR representative presents credentials to minister
Dr. Vandelaer shared his commitment to work closely with the Government of Nepal toward addressing the health needs of the Nepalese people.
