MORANG, March 21: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has given instructions to the authorities concerned to investigate the murder of a policewoman in Letang Municipality of Morang and bring the culprits to justice.
A female police personnel, Urmila Shrestha was killed in a clash between police and locals at a local school on Sunday evening after the situation became tense following a controversy over the alleged abuse of a sixth-grader girl student by 56-year-old teacher Manoj Poudel. The school was surrounded by angry villagers as soon as the incident became public.

The enraged mob tried to kick the teacher out of the school premises and beat him up. The female police officer died after she went into a clash to control the enraged crowd. The crowd had stabbed the officer in her neck and chest.
Similarly, lawmakers Gopi Bahadur Achhami, Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi and Bhanubhakta Dhakal drew the government's attention to the issues of public interest in the region.
