PARBAT, Aug 5: Continuous rains for some days have increased water level in the Kaligandaki River, said the district administration office (DAO).
As a result, the DAO has urged the houses along the banks of the river to be alert. Those going to the river for fishing, extracting sands and pebbles and collecting firewood should remain on high alert, stressed Chief District Officer Guru Datta Dhakal.
Many settlements along the banks of the river at Bari in Parbat, Maldhunga at the border of Baglung, Modibeni, Setibeni and Purtighar bazaar are at risk of being washed away. RSS
