CHITWAN, Oct 11: Ward Chair of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-20, Mani Lal Tamang, 69, has died of COVID-19. He died at Bharatpur Hospital Sunday morning, said Dr Pramod Poudel, coordinator of the COVID-19 clinic at the hospital.
Tamang, who tested positive for the infection on October 2 and was admitted to the hospital on October 9, was suffering from diabetes and blood pressure, he said. He was shifted to the intensive care unit before being put on a ventilator, according to Dr Poudel.
